The Citadel closed beta opens Sunday, September 27. Here's who's in, what you'll play, and how to get ready.

The Citadel closed beta opens on Sunday, September 27. Entries are now closed, and every spot has been claimed.

## If you were selected

Spots were hand-picked from the entries, and selected players are being notified in Discord. The start time and how to get in are posted there too, so keep notifications on for the Citadel server.

## What you'll play

Citadel is a high-stakes gunship sandbox MMO. You fit a ship from what you own, take a contract, and enter a Breach: a timed multiplayer zone with hostile machines, other captains, and resources worth recovering. Push deeper or extract with what you have. A destroyed ship and its unsecured cargo become wreckage other players can claim.

You can breach solo or in a squad of up to three. Between runs, the hangar is where you refit, compare loot, trade, and build equipment. Ships, inventory, fittings, and progression persist between runs.

## Before the gates open

- Use a desktop or laptop. Citadel runs in a desktop web browser with no installation; mobile browsers aren't supported.

- Join the Citadel Discord for the start time, announcements and support.

- Share bugs and feedback in Discord. This is an early-access test: systems, balance and content will change during the beta.
